- What did you learn about lifelong wellness from taking this general education class?
I have learned so much from going to Crossfit NRG. It has completely changed the way I look at everything fitness wise. I learned about the best ways to eat and the best things to eat. I also learned how to replenish my body after an intense workout. The trainers have been incredible as well.
- How would you apply this information to your life?
I’ve already applied a lot of what I’ve learned to my life. I have certainly changed the way I eat. I’ve become more active and doing things I’d never done before. Being surrounded with such encouragement has also rubbed off, giving me a better attitude.
- What is your intention to continue to practice what you have learned in your life and why?
My intention is to continue with Crossfit NRG. After this semester, I have really enjoyed what I’ve learned as well as the way I’m feeling. I’ve started eating more protein and good fats. I picked up my first barbell in January and have now been using one at least twice a week depending on the WOD. Kettlebells have also been used. It’s amazing what I have been able to accomplish physically in just a few months. I’m working on things I never imagined I could or would be able to do. It’s definitely been a wonderful experience in which I’m happy to continue.
- General ideas?
I don’t have any suggestions on improving the course. I thought it worked well. It was very flexible. The trainers and gym are awesome!
